Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Hamza AI processes videos, audio, and transcripts so we can caption them. That is personal data. This policy explains what we collect, who we send it to, and how you can delete it. We do not sell personal information.

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, workspace membership, plan.
  • Content: uploaded video/audio, transcripts, caption edits, exported files.
  • Usage: transcription minutes and related job metadata.
  • Security: IP address and user agent on some audit events, cookies for session and CSRF.

Why

To run your account, transcribe and translate captions, export video, bill paid plans, prevent abuse, and meet legal requests. Session cookies are necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use marketing pixels on this app.

Subprocessors

Your media and transcripts leave our servers when a job runs. Current processors:

  • Google Cloud Speech-to-Text (Chirp 3). Default region is configured as US unless we change it.
  • Deepgram (speech recognition fallback).
  • Meta Wit.ai (speech recognition fallback for some languages).
  • OpenRouter and/or OpenAI (language analysis and caption translation).
  • Amazon Web Services (object storage and optional Remotion Lambda renders).
  • Stripe (payments). Stripe processes card data; Hamza does not store card numbers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK GDPR and California CCPA), you may access, correct, or delete your data, object to processing, or ask for a copy. Workspace owners can delete a workspace (including stored video) or delete their account in Settings. Email hello@hamza.ai if you need help. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to train public models for others.

Retention

Projects, transcripts, and exports stay until you delete the project, workspace, or account. Audit logs are kept up to 365 days. Stripe retains billing records under its own policy.
